The brand Tofutti was created in Brooklyn, New York during the 1970:s, when David Minz couldn’t find any dairy free alternative to his Kosher restaurant. He created a tofu based dessert himself, which he called Tofutti.
Gradually he stated to sell this popular dessert and the rest, as one says, is history. Today the assortment consist of ice cream, hard cheese, soft cheese and alternatives to crème fraiche.
The top seller in Sweden is the Sour Surpreme, which is the only dairy free crème fraiche in the market.
